Off to the Birdfair

It has been a particularly busy and rather stressful week (hence the lack of blog posts) but I am looking forward to heading to Birdfair tomorrow, up in Rutland. It will be my second visit to the annual ‘Glastonbury of the Birding World’ and I hope it will live up to last year, which was memorable for all sorts of reasons. Birdfair is not all about birds and there is something for everyone, no matter the aspect of the natural world that interests you. There will be plenty of famous faces about and opportunities to meet like-minded people, buy books (I must be careful here!) and listen to first-rate talks about places and wildlife from all over the globe. I will be helping to manage the A Focus on Nature stand in Marquee 8, and will be meeting (hopefully) dozens of AFONers in the evening on the Saturday. If you are going to Birdfair this year (you might already be there), maybe I’ll see you there!
